Counselling for individuals
I have a deep understanding of the challenges a person with an alcohol dependency face when living in a society in which alcohol is an accepted and often expected cultural norm.
I am a qualified and experienced Integrative counsellor/psychotherapist who has specialised in alcohol and drug treatment for over a decade, I have worked in both a counselling role and as a case worker for frontline services. I have gained extensive experience working with people who feel very ‘stuck’ and those seeking to change their own relationship with drugs and alcohol, enabling me to develop a therapeutic approach personally tailored for any stage of the recovery process.
My aim is to offer a contained therapeutic relationship within a safe space where you can explore your relationship with drugs or alcohol, and how this impacts on different areas of life. We will work at your own pace to make changes which are meaningful for you.
Counselling for those affected by another’s substance misuse
It can be transformative to talk through the complex feelings and everyday difficulties associated with having a loved one with drug or alcohol problems. Counselling can be an opportunity to uncover new coping strategies, directly benefitting yourself – and potentially benefitting the person you care about.
