Counselling for individuals

I am an experienced addiction counsellor working with people that wish to change their relationship with alcohol dependency and other drugs. In my work I aim to support people in understanding their own patterns and accepting the more uncomfortable parts of themselves and their past experience.

From this point of compassionate acceptance, I aim to offer a safe and creative space in which clients can explore new ways of being, not only with alcohol but also with friends, family, work and other relationships that may underpin why they have chosen to use alcohol in the first place.

About Me
For three years I worked at a Brighton based drug and alcohol recovery service where I supported a wide variety of individuals all wishing to change their relationship with drugs and alcohol.
I have an interest in working with people who have experienced trauma and as a result have adopted the use of alcohol or other drugs as a coping mechanism.
I am also trained to work with adolescents and currently provide counselling for young people at a secondary school in South London.

Outside of my 1:1 counselling work I manage a team of counsellors at Mankind, a charity that provides support for male survivors of sexual abuse.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their ethical framework.
