Whatever your relationship to the other might be, caring about someone who is misusing substances can have a significant and complex affect on a person. Counselling offers a safe and confidential space to explore what is going on for you.
I am an energetic and compassionate therapist, offering counselling and psychotherapy to those affected by another's substance misuse. I view psychotherapy as a dynamic process, created between the two of us. Generally speaking, my approach is to play an active part. I intervene, I reflect, I share theory, and I ask questions. I am passionate about what I do and feel strongly that although therapy can at times be emotionally challenging, ultimately it is exhilarating and inspiring.

Are you and your partner having communication problems? Do you have the nagging feeling that you and your partner are not meeting your potential as a couple? Has there been a betrayal, which you are struggling to get over?
We can all get into patterns of behaving that are detrimental to not only ourselves, but also our relationships. Relationship counselling offers two people the chance to consider the impact they have on one another, and for each to say the things that they have been holding back. It is my job to facilitate a safe space in which you can both experiment communicating differently together.

I am a fully qualified, UKCP accredited, psychotherapist and Certified Transactional Analyst. I offer counselling and psychotherapy to individuals and couples.
